| Bemerkungen: 4 Ophiura sp. and 1 living Astarte compressa found at sediment surface. 0-4/14 cm: dark grey fine grained sand with dropstones of Unit G (Winn 1974) irregularly overlying light grey, slightly laminated clays of Unit D to 23/24 cm. Dark grey, calcareous, sandier clays rich in carbonaceous matter were present below 23/24 cm (Lake Marls, Unit C). |

Large sediment-filled burrows of Echiurus echiurus and A. islandica in uppermost layers with traces reaching down into underlying clayey Unit D. Vertical and horizontal worm burrows were generally hollow. Freshwater Unit C at base of core was intensely bioturbated. |
