The research group "Paleo Climate Modelling" is located at the Institute for Geosciences at Kiel University. Led by Birgit Schneider, it was established as a junior reseacrh group within the cluster of excellence "Future Ocean" in 2008. Since 2012, the group has a permanent status at IfG. We are experienced in the development, validation and comparison of coupled climate models of different complexity as well as analysis and interpretation of model data with respect to oceanographic, biogeochemical and atmospheric processes. We work in both national and international research projects and cooperate closely with the research group Paleoceanography as well as other reknowned international experts.
