Ongoing Projects:

  • Atlantic margin integrated basin analysis, Morocco. Subproject: Source-to-sink analysis (palaeobiology and sedimentology), on- & offshore Tarfaya basin, Morocco (Meso-/Cenozoic): 2 subprojects: Subproject A: Biofacies, biostratigraphy, palaeoecology, source rock distribution; Sedimentology, climate and erosion systems analysis. Subproject C: Source to sink modelling: Sediment fluxes and erosion of source areas. link

  • High resolution mapping of sediment distribution patterns and morphodynamic structures in the Southern part of the North Sea (Cooperation with IFM-GEOMAR).

  • Holozäne Küstenentwicklung, Meeresspiegelschwankungen, terrigene Sedimentation und Sedimentdynamik am Kontinentalschelf zwischen Mekong und Nha Trang, Südost-Vietnam. link

  • Identification of Marine Living Resources in Hörnum Tidal Basin (Sylt Island, North Sea). (State authorities)

  • Northern Brazilian river deltas: River impacts versus pristine discharge; gefördert durch DFG.

  • Response of northern Brazilian coastal eco-systems to major river impacts: “Northern Brazilian river deltas: River impacts versus pristine discharge”.

  • Sediment classification in the North Sea and the Baltic Sea.
